The Power of Friendship with Aleksandra Tryniecka, Author of Bunky and the Walms

Books That Make You Feel the Power of Friendship, Loyalty and Nobility—and Share It with the Little Ones in Your Life

Children’s books with positive, powerful messages are an excellent way to not only introduce children to reading, but to give them a foundation built on uplifting ideas—ideas that teach them life lessons to help them as they grow. Friendship, courage and empathy are all themes in “Bunky and the Walms: The Christmas Story”, a BookFest Award-winner.

The author, Aleksandra Tryniecka, is an Assistant Professor at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland, as well as a poet and fiction writer. In addition to authoring “Bunky and the Walms: The Christmas Story” (Wipf and Stock/Resource Publications, October 2021), she is the author of the upcoming book entitled “Women’s Literary Portraits in the Victorian and Neo-Victorian Novel” (Rowman & Littlefield, Lexington Books, February 2023). While working on Bunky’s further literary adventures, she enjoys nineteenth-century British literature, especially everything written by Anthony Trollope and Wilkie Collins. One of her favorite literary characters is the Cheshire Cat. Without a doubt, Bunky is also her favorite literary character!
