Interview with Dr.Corona, Author of The Corona Protocol

Q.What Inspired You to Write Your Book?

A.After writing my first three books which are out and took me 12 years to complete then I wrote two books which have not been released yet and are training manuals for doctors and other prescribe I wanted to write something totally different than the previous five books. Starting about 4 to 5 years ago I got the idea to write a book of storytelling, since each patient is in a sense a story, and so I have a lot of material. I was inspired to tell stories since I realized that this would be an excellent way to explain practically and, in real human terms, what science and what my previous books were all about.

Q.Can You Tell Us About the Book from Your Point of View?

A.My new book focuses on telling stories about people struggling with mental health issues. First, I talk about the subject at hand, then I launch into an original story. Some of the stories are based on the lives of patients I had treated over the years, and some are fiction. I have always wanted to write fiction, so I took this opportunity to do so. Each patient I have seen has their own unique background and story, which inspired me to write about them as well as others that I have not yet seen. I believe that the reader will be able to understand the subject better by hearing stories that can be relatable.

What Can Readers Expect from This Book?

A.This book, besides discussing common problems such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADD, PTSD and others, also discusses many of the modern challenges that we face as a society. These subjects are outlined in the subtitle: Addiction, Bullying, Homelessness, School Shootings and Suicide the reader can expect to get practical answers to common modern problems… I explain what has led to all of these problems and try to give answers as to what we can do about it. I also discuss Personality Disorders, which can be one of the underlying reasons for the more extreme manifestations of mental illness.

Q.Can You Tell Me Three Fun Facts About You?

A.I am passionate about cats and have had many my whole life. My current cat Seymour, a Seal Point Himalayan, is the best cat I have ever had. I am an avid reader, and my favorite genre is adult Fantasy, and I have read many fantasy novels and follow many authors. My favorite sport is downhill skiing, which I have done a lot over the years but unfortunately not much recently. My favorite place to ski is Utah.

Q.What Are Your Plans for Future Writing Projects?

A.I started writing a fantasy novel when I was in middle school. Over the years I have started writing it in have the first few chapters but since I had other more pressing writing to do, I have put this book on hold. I envision it being a trilogy at some point in the future. After six books I want to take a break from medical writing. I would also love to collaborate with an established fantasy author.

Q.What Do You Want the World to Know About Your Book?

A.The main purpose of my book is to provide hope. I frequently hear negativity about what is happening in our country and in our world, and things certainly seem bleak. However, I believe that what ails our society and be fixed. I also believe that treatment of mental health problems when needed can create hope and change in people that need this type of help to the point that lives can be turned around for the better and saved. We need to focus on the underlying problems if we hope to find cures.

Q.How Do You Think Your Book Relates to The World Today?

A.The world today has so many problems and there is so much unhappiness throughout the world. I believe some of the root causes are certain types of oppressive government and bureaucracy, a reduction in ethics and morals, as well as a tremendous amount of mental health issues that are ignored and go untreated.

Q.What Do You Hope Will Be the Everlasting Thoughts for Readers Who Finish Your Book?

A. The everlasting thoughts I would hope after reading this book is the hope that no matter how difficult the mental health challenges are and no matter what the situation there are answers that may have never been thought of before. People do not usually think of mental illness as a physical and chemical problem that can be easily treated with medications that I considered to be holistic, preventative and curatives.

Q.What Should Remain with Readers Long After Putting Your Book Down?

What I hope remains is a complete rethinking of this topic by understanding that this is a medical problem that people cannot help mostly due to genetic predisposition along with stressors in one’s life. I hope to reduce and hopefully eliminate the anti-medication mentality which is typically present due to the misconceptions about what psychotropic medications actually do. I want my readers to understand that no matter how bleak and hopeless their situation is that there is actually an answer that helps the vast majority of the time.

Q.If People Can Only Buy One Book This Month, Why Should It Be Yours?

A.The reason people should buy my book is because it is an original. There is simply no other book like it currently or in the past. My story and message are unique. The Corona protocol is the method that I have devised over 30 years of medical practice. I have followed my own path when it comes to learning about the subject and then doing it in order to come up with the formulations that embody no matter what textbook, Journal, or other book that you can read about the subject there is none other like this one.
