She says authors can typically receive two to four times more from a direct sale on Amplify Audiobooks than from the same sale elsewhere. They can also control pricing, create discount codes, run promotions, and connect more directly with their audience.
The platform is designed around community rather than transactions. Authors can host launches and Q&A sessions, listeners can join real-time audiobook clubs, and the Reflections feature allows people to record private thoughts or share comments with authors, narrators, and fellow listeners.
For Becky, the audiobook becomes a campfire around which people gather. Her vision suggests a future where listening is not only immersive but also social, supportive, and deeply connected to the people who bring each story to life.
