Books That Make You Journey Through 1950s Era of Rock and Roll, and Get Hound Dogged
Every generation deals with growing up, handling responsibility, chasing one’s dreams and all the pitfalls that happen along the way. The coming-of-age story is universal, one that resonates with young and old because, well, we older folks remember it fondly—or not so fondly—and younger folks are in the throes of experiencing it.
Author Rebecca Hendricks brings us into the world of her book, Hound Dogged, which has been compared to SE Hinton’s The Outsiders and is all about growing up in a turbulent time, introducing us to five friends: John, Stu, Jerry, Patrick, and the talented newcomer Danny. As societal forces clash and cultural upheaval takes center stage, these young musicians find harmony amid chaos.
Rebecca has made a career doing accounting and Judicial Assistant work, but her passion has always been writing. She is a Colorado native where she lives with her husband, dog and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys restoring and giving new life to old dolls.
